Program Evaluation and Research Coordination
When conducting program evaluation, the use of an outside consultant can often provide the opportunity for more honest feedback from users of the program or service. I recently completed a survey for the assessment function of the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. I worked closely with the coordinator of assessment in the development of an instrument to gauge the progress of the assessment position and functions in the first six months since its inception. Working with StudentVoice, I implemented the survey and compiled results for the coordinator, vice president, and senior associate vice president. The Office of the Dean of Students at The University of Texas at Austin recently completed a comprehensive survey on risk-management issues for student organization. The associate dean of students and I collaborated in developing the overall goals for the research project. I also provided leadership and coordination in the development of the research project and worked with StudentVoice in implementing the survey. Providing this coordination and leadership kept the year-long project moving forward, especially during those periods when staff were most busy. If you have a project that you would like to implement, I can provide the oversight and team leadership needed to reach your goals.
